All art tells stories. This exhibition looks into the history of telling and sharing stories in African and Black culture.
VISUAL ARTIST
Visual artists are asked to submit work based on stories and poetry you love. Fact or fiction, stories handed down from your mother or uncle. Stores from your favorite authors or stories from our history.
POETS AND STORYTELLERS
We want you to share your stories. Original stories, stories that you love, or excerpts. Your work can be provided in a video presentation or in written format and will be incorporated into the exhibition.
Artwork will be displayed at the Norwest Gallery of Art in Detroit, Michigan, and online. This call is open to all artists at any stage of their career.
